Great pub with great food. Were quite happy for us to have our little one in there whilst we ate until late. Staff were really friendly and engaged with him which kept him happy. Would recommend.
First visit. Food excellent with very pleasant attentive staff. Luckily enough to arrive to hear live band. Quality sound. Landlady very welcoming and keen attention to detail.
Very pleasant well situated pub and restaurant... right by the harbour. The front is ablaze with colourful plants which are fantastic and brighten up the place on a dull day. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. The young guy who served us was quick to recommend an alternative as they didn't have my partners favourite cider. I was keen to try another drink by way of a taster to help me decide. Nothing was a problem and we both had different drinks to what we had planned but were thoroughly happy. I enjoyed the pub for its mix of customers, quite clearly local fisherman enjoying a pint after a day at sea... Along side young families, tourists and visitors to the area. We didn't sample the food but maybe on another visit we shall take a look at the menu.
Went for the Sunday carvery roast. A bit of a wait to be seated and we were initially seated in the bar despite reserving a table in the quieter restaurant area. But this was soon resolved by the friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good with an choice of meat's and a good selection of veg. I guess it's up to the individual if you feel 12.50 per head represents good value personally I thought it was a little pricey. But I do recommend it and we will be back.
I arrived last minute in Minehead and needed to find a pub that served good food. I read the reviews and it looked like it might tick all the boxes.I wasnt disappointed and couldnt fault it. I was on my own and made to feel very welcome.The food was fantastic, service was quick, the staff were very friendly and attentive but not in your face. Very nice ambience and location.I highly recommend it.
